His words ” I have not heard anything about the 100 million naira the Governor promised us. I still have a lot of friends at Akwa United Fc the players and management and we speak on a daily basis , ”
” That was the first time Akwa United Fc won the NPFL title and I felt like it was going to be a big thing but from my looks it was like you have won the title it’s fine , it’s in the past but Rivers have won the league title I guess twice see the reception and everything its different ,”
” I was not there when the Governor (Akwa Ibom State Governor) hosted Akwa United and made all the promises so I can not tell what happened there but I know for a fact that no 100 million naira has been given to the management to share to the players that they haven’t shared to the players,”
” I know we have the best chairman in the NPFL Paul Bassey . He is not that kind of person . I think he has been straight forward from day one. I have not seen anyone as straight forward, decent and loving like that man , ”
” We still hope, maybe one day but I have lost interest in that money , I even forgot that I won the NPFL title. Actually it felt like we just won the FA Cup or something .
” On Rivers United Succeeding Akwa United Fc as NPFL Champions Olisa Ndah said ” Rivers United deserved to win the NPFL title. They had a very good season with very good players. I am very happy for them . ” The BUCS Defender concluded.
