Olisa Ndah wins another title in South Africa

Nigerian Defender Olisa Ndah today won another title in South Africa as Orlando clinched the Nedbank Cup trophy in a thrilling final on Saturday May 27.

Pirates defeated Sekhukhune FC 2-1 in the final at Loftus Versfeld  to win their second title of the 2022/2023 season, after clinching the MTN-8 title earlier this season.

Sibusiso Vilakazi shot Sekhukhune FC ahead in the 12th minute but Orlando Pirates fought back to level scores just before the halftime break.

The Referee spotted an infringement inside the Sekhukhune box and so awarded Pirates a penalty which Tapelo Xoki calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net for 1-1.

To win the title, Terrence Dzvukamanja scored deep into stoppage time to gift Jose Riveiro’s BUCS a 2-1 victory and a 2022/2023 Nedbank Cup trophy, their first since 2014.

Super Eagles Defender Olisa Ndah played no part in the match. His season has been blighted by injury since helping Pirates win the MTN-8 Cup title back in 2022.

The defender stepped on to join his teammates in celebration of another title win and was duly decorated with a winners medal.
