Olympique Marseille eyeing Super Eagles forward Moses Simon

Former French Ligue 1 champions Olympique Marseille are reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles forward Moses Simon this summer.

Marseille have been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Mason Greenwood, Ismail Kone, Lilian Brassier, and Meite Abdoul Bamo. These additions are part of their efforts to improve on their eighth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.

Despite their busy transfer window, Marseille are not yet finished. Edition Marseille reports that the club is closely monitoring Moses Simon.

The 29-year-old has been a key player for his current club, contributing significantly since his arrival from Levante in 2020. Simon has scored 29 goals and provided 32 assists in 168 appearances for the Yellow Canaries.

Although Simon was previously linked with a move to the Premier League, no concrete offers materialized. Marseille’s interest could be a promising development, given Simon’s proven ability on the wings and his experience in Ligue 1.

Valued at €13 million by Transfermarkt, Simon could represent a cost-effective option for Marseille as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
