Omotayo Olajide exits early from men’s singles Table Tennis at Paris Olympics
Two-time Olympian Omotayo Olajide faced an early exit in the men’s singles table tennis competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Olajide lost to Noshad Alamiyan of Iran with a score of 1-4 in the round of 64.
Olajide began the match on a strong note, winning the first set 11-6. However, Alamiyan quickly took control, winning the next two sets 11-5 and 11-4.
Despite a strong effort from Olajide in the fourth set, where he came close to turning the match around, he ultimately lost 10-12. Alamiyan secured victory with an 11-8 win in the final set.
Olajide’s performance at Paris 2024 mirrors his early exit from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he also did not advance past the initial rounds.
