Onome Ebi Sets World Cup Target For Super Falcons
Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi has tipped the team for a semi final place at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons will battle it out with Australia, Canada and Ireland in Group B.
“However, there are no guarantees, we are just going there to play our game. We are working towards it and have been playing several high-profile friendly games.
“In spite of the fact that the results are not what Nigerians want, I believe our losses will help us get better as we work on our mistakes ahead of the World Cup.
“The World Cup finals is the big target and that’s what we are working for,” she said.
The Super Falcons will begin their World campaign against Canada on July 21 before taking on Australia six days later.
Three days later they will end their first round journey against Australia.
Waldrum has come in for criticisms following the team’s poor performances leading to the World Cup.
