Ordega and Plumptre Shine as Al-Ittihad Ladies Thrash Al Taraji 9-0

Super Falcons stars Francisca Ordega and Ashleigh Plumptre both scored as Al-Ittihad Ladies crushed Al Taraji 9-0 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

It was a brilliant day for Ordega, who scored her first hat-trick for the club. She found the back of the net three times in the second half, showing her class in front of goal. Her first came in the 62nd minute, followed by two more goals shortly after.

Ashleigh Plumptre also impressed. The Super Falcons defender, who captained Al-Ittihad in the game, opened the scoring early on with a powerful strike. Her goal set the tone for a dominant performance by the Jeddah-based team.

Plumptre joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 after leaving Leicester City and has quickly become a key player for the side. Her leadership and solid defending were on display, and she even added a goal to her name in this one-sided match.

Ordega, who recently signed from CSKA Moscow, is settling in well in Saudi Arabia. With this hat-trick, she now has four goals for Al-Ittihad and was named Player of the Match for her outstanding display.

Other players like Farah Jefry and Fatimah Mansour also got on the scoresheet, helping Al-Ittihad secure a big win.

The result keeps Al-Ittihad in a strong position as they continue their push in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
