Osayi-Samuel: I want to play In the Premier League
Super Eagles of Nigeria and Fenerbache right back Bright Osayi-Samuel has revealed he wants to play in the English Premier League.
The defender made this disclosure in a chat with SOCCERNET amidst transfer interest from Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers this summer.
Bright Osayi-Samuel joined Turkish side Fenerbahçe from English Championship side QPR in 2021, and was part of the squad for 2022-2023 Turkish Cup win.
“I think everyone knows that my ambition is to play English football, to play in the [English] Premier League, you know, ” Osayi-Samuel said.
” No disrespect they [Fenerbahçe sk] have done some much for me there [in Turkey]. But my ambition is to play in the Premier League. So when I feel that the time is the right time for me to go, I will take it.”
To fulfill his desire, Bright Osayi-Samuel will hope reported interest from English Premier League clubs Brentford and Bournemouth is successful.
His comments will be a blow for Glasgow Rangers who have openly expressed a desire to take him to Scotland .
A regular with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Bright Osayi-Samuel has seen his reputation soar since his flying debut for Nigeria in an International Friendly game vs Portugal in November 2022 .
