Oshoala nets brace as Barcelona Femeni stroll to big win
Super Falcons star striker Asisat Oshoala was at the double for FC Barcelona Femeni as they strolled to a 6-0 win over Villarreal in their Liga F match.
2023 Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati opened the scoring for the European champions after only 14 minutes before Oshoala scored her first of the game ten minutes later to double the advantage.
The Barcelona ladies had to wait until the second half to score again, as Bonmati fired home her second of the evening in the 50th minute. Highly-rated Spanish youngster Salma Paralluelo added her name to the scoresheet in the 77th minute with her side’s fourth of the game.
Norwegian forward Caroline Graham Hansen scored for Barcelona in the 82nd minute before Oshoala completed her brace and rounded off the scoring three minutes later with her fifth goal of the season.
Barcelona Femeni remain on the top of the league standings with a perfect eight wins from eight. Their next match is against Benfica in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this week.
