Victor Osimhen surely has shown the top Premier League clubs a glimpse of what he can do after terrorizing Liverpool in a champions league game at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles striker who is one of the best strikers in the world at the moment lived up to the billing showing pure class against Liverpool defenders.

He was linked with a move to all the top clubs in the world, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and even Arsenal but a move never happened in the summer.

As the saying goes you can only judge how good you are when you go against the best in the business and that was what Victor Osimhen showed against Virgil van Dijk in 40 minutes on Wednesday.

Barely a minute into the game -Victor Osimhen hit the woodwork after Giovanni Di Lorenzo created a goalscoring chance for him.

Napoli took the lead through a penalty converted by Piotr Zielinski in the 5th minute of the game.

13 minutes after the goal Victor Osimhen won a penalty after Virgil van Dijk fouled him in the area, he stepped up and missed from the spot kick.

Victor Osimhen who continued to pressure Virgil van Dijk and his defense partner Joe Gomez intercepted a ball from the latter and teed up Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with just the net to beat.

But the informed Georgian failed to convert as Virgil van Dijk recovered to clear the ball.

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa made it two for Napoli when he scored in the 31st minute of the game from Piotr Zielinski.

Victor Osimhen who shock off a knock a picked up in a Serie A game against Lazio over the weekend was subbed off in the 40th minute for Giovanni Simeone.

Giovanni Simeone made it three for Napoli three minutes after coming.

Piotr Zielinski completed his brace in the second half to hand Napoli a 4-0 lead but Luis Diaz pulled one back a few minutes later.

If you didn’t watch the match or miss Victor Osimhen’s display against Virgil van Dijk and Liverpool – just imagined a prime Thierry Henry in action.

Victor as usual was running at Liverpool’s defenders, coming deep to play with his midfielders and as we predicted – he actually feasted on Klopp’s defensive Highline.

while the extent of his injury is not known yet – the believe is that Victor Osimhen would be able to shake off his injury and be ready to play this weekend.
