Osimhen close to PSG transfer
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is close to joining French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain (PSG) In a development that will hurt Chelsea FC the most.
Osimhen has courted interest from several top clubs in Europe but according to recent reports, PSG have won the race for his signature ahead of the summer, with the Napoli man surely certain to leave.
According to Italian Outlet 11 Mattino, negotiations between Napoli and PSG are reaching an advanced stage for the player.
The report says PSG are eager to beat the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for Osimhen especially with the expected departure of Frenchman Kylian Mbappe.
PSG will pay Osimhen’s 120million euros release clause and offer him a four-year contract worth 13m euros per season.
This will be a significant blow for Chelsea FC who considered their primary target to bolster their attack and help the club return to the top ranks of the Premier League next season.
If Osimhen makes the move to Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea will turn attention to the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Ivan Toney and Victor Boniface to solve their attacking woes.
