Osimhen Inspires Galatasaray to 5-2 Win Over Juventus
Galatasaray started strongly and opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Gabriel Sara. Juventus responded well and took control before the break, with Teun Koopmeiners scoring twice to give the Italian side a 2-1 lead at half-time.
The second half saw Galatasaray turn the game around. Noa Lang and Davinson Sánchez scored within the first 15 minutes after the restart to put the Turkish champions back in front. Juventus’ problems worsened when Juan Cabal was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving them with ten men.
Osimhen was heavily involved in Galatasaray’s remaining goals. In the 75th minute, he won the ball from Lloyd Kelly and set up Lang to make it 4-2. He again pressured Juventus defenders late on, which led to Sacha Boey scoring the fifth goal from a tight angle.
Although he did not score, Osimhen worked tirelessly and caused problems for the Juventus defence throughout the match.
Galatasaray will now travel to Turin for the return leg, where they will aim to protect their three-goal advantage and secure qualification to the next round.
