Osimhen named Man of the match in Napoli’s UCL win at Braga

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen was named Man of the match in Napoli’s 1-2 UEFA Champions League win at Sporting Braga.

 

In the game on Wednesday, September 20 in Portugal, Osimhen provided assist for Di Lorenzo to score the opening goal and was a torn In the flesh of Braga defenders.

For the opening goal, Osimhen received the cross in the box and laid it on for Di Lorenzo to hit high and hard, the ball hitting the crossbar and going into the back of the net.

Napoli maintained this lead until late in the second half when Zalazar got the ball on the right and crossed into the box, where Bruma headed in to level the scores.

Italian Serie A Champions, Napoli powered forward and we’re back in front a minute later.

Zielinski took the ball on the left, put in a strong cross, which Braga defender Niakaté tried to clear and sent into his own goal for 1-2.

Osimhen was taken off in the 89th minute by Coach Rudi Garcia after a match winning performance In Portugal.

The Nigerian will return to action on Sunday vs Bologna in the Italian Serie A.
