Osimhen named one of Serie A MVPs, beats Vlahovic to Best Young Player of the year

Victor Osimhen is the latest most valuable player in Serie A after the Nigerian was named the Best Young Player of the 2021-22 Season.

The Napoli striker beat off competition from top contenders such as Dusan Vlahovic who has been considered by some sections of Serie A fans as the better player.

Victor Osimhen who helped Napoli secured a champions league slot for the 2022/23 season with 14 goals and 5 assists in 26 Serie A games deservedly picked the last MVP slot.

In the Italian Serie A, five most valuable players are named at the end of each season already, AC Milan’s Mike Maignan (Milan) has been named the best goalkeeper.

Torino’s Gleison Bremer named the best defender, Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic the best midfielder, and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile the best forward with Victor Osimhen named the best U-23 player to complete the five MVPs.

Recall, that Victor Osimhen missed a couple of games after suffering a facial injury during a head clash with Inter defender Milan Skriniar in November 2021.

He came back a masked man in January rocking a protective mask.
