Osimhen Names Buruk and Spalletti as Key Influences, Backs Chelle for Super Eagles

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has identified Okan Buruk and Luciano Spalletti as the most influential managers of his career, while expressing confidence in the future of the Super Eagles under Eric Chelle.
Reflecting on his journey, Osimhen praised Buruk for his impact during his time at Galatasaray. He highlighted the Turkish coach’s humility, attention to detail, and ability to motivate players, noting how Buruk prepared the team meticulously for high-profile European matches. According to Osimhen, Buruk instilled both tactical discipline and mental focus, helping the squad succeed against top opponents in major competitions.
Osimhen also spoke highly of Spalletti, under whom he had a career-defining period at Napoli. The Italian coach guided the club to a historic Serie A title, with Osimhen playing a central role in the triumph. He described Spalletti as dedicated, approachable, and deeply committed to building strong relationships with his players, earning his utmost respect.
