Osimhen rages at Napoli Coach over substitution in frustrating draw at Bologna
Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen reacted angrily to being substituted by Napoli Coach Rudi Garcia in the 0-0 draw at Bologna.
This was laid bare at the Stadio Dall’Ara during the 0-0 draw vs Bologna which now leaves Napoli, seven points adrift of leaders Inter Milan after five matches.
Osimhen was unlucky to see his first half strike hit the inside of the far post, but he missed when a match winning opportunity, a penalty kick in the 73rd minute of the match.
Napoli fans in the away-end, loudly jeered Garcia for his decisions, first to take off Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, before substituting Victor Osimhen with Giovanni Simeone at the 86th minute.
As he walked off the turf, a visibly angry Victor Osimhen raged words at the Napoli manager which according to, pitchside reporters was in French that he wanted ‘two strikers’ to work together in order to get the victory.
Napoli are without a win in three Serie A games, a negative run that will cast aspersions on their chances of mounting a defence of the Italian Serie A title.
