Osimhen scores in Napoli draw against Cagliari
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen showcased his scoring prowess once again, netting his eighth goal of the season as Napoli settled for a 1-1 draw against Cagliari in Sunday’s Serie A fixture.
Osimhen, who was featuring in his 14th league appearance, capitalized on a brilliant assist from Giacomo Raspadori in the 66th minute to find the back of the net.
Despite his noteworthy contribution, Osimhen was substituted in the 85th minute by Francesco Calzona for Leo Østigård after an impressive performance on the field.
However, Cagliari managed to salvage a point in the dying moments of the game, with Luvumbo finding the equalizer in the 96th minute, much to the delight of the home supporters.
The draw leaves Napoli in 9th place on the league table with 37 points, while Cagliari remains in 19th place with 20 points.
