Osimhen Scores Twice as Galatasaray Draw 3-3 with Kasimpasa
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray played out an exciting 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.
Osimhen’s brace brought his league goal tally to 16 for the season, but Galatasaray’s hopes of winning the title took a hit as they dropped valuable points.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 11th minute, calmly converting a penalty after Galatasaray were awarded a spot-kick.
The first half ended with Galatasaray leading 1-0, but Kasimpasa came out stronger in the second half and equalised in the 52nd minute through Mortadha Ben Ouanes.
Kasimpasa then took the lead in the 61st minute when Josip Brekalo scored, putting them 2-1 ahead.
However, Galatasaray quickly responded. Davinson Sánchez brought them level in the 69th minute, and Osimhen gave them the lead again just two minutes later, scoring his second goal of the game to make it 3-2.
With Galatasaray looking set to win, Kasimpasa managed to earn a late draw when Haris Hajradinovic converted a penalty in the final minutes of the match.
Victor Osimhen played the full 90 minutes, scoring twice in the 3-3 draw. He was a constant threat in attack, with two shots on target, three off target, and two blocked attempts.
Osimhen also won a penalty and missed a big chance. He touched the ball 33 times during the match.
In terms of passing, he completed eight out of 12 passes, with a pass accuracy of 67%.
Osimhen was strong in duels, winning four of his eight aerial battles and two of the four ground duels he contested.
