Osimhen surpasses Ighalo, Musa on Super Eagles goals chart
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has surpassed Odion Ighalo, current Nigeria National team skipper Ahmed Musa and Samson Siasia on the all-time Super Eagles goals chart.
24-year old Victor Osimhen occupied 10th place with 15-goals on the all-time goals chart ahead of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier vs Sierra Leone on Sunday June18.
Recall that Osimhen scored two goals, his 16th and 17th for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia.
Sierra Leone fought back to level scores but another prolific Eagle Kelechi Iheanacho tapped home a Taiwo Awoniyi cut-back for a 2-3 win for Nigeria.
Those goals moved Victor Osimhen above the trio of Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo and Samson Siasia who have all scored 16-goals for the Nigeria Men’s national team.
Osimhen is now 7th on the log with 20-goals separating him from the all-time highest goals-scorer Late Rashidi Yekini who score 37 goals for Nigeria.
