Paul Onuachu scores four goals to help Genk beat Charleroi

Now has 12 league goals in 13 league games

Paul Onuachu scored four goals at Luminus Arena to hand league leaders, Genk a 4-1 win against Sporting Charleroi in a Belgian Pro league game.

Having failed to score in Genk’s 4-1 win against KV Mechelen last weekend, the Nigerian striker compensated with a hattrick on Friday.

Paul Onuachu scored the first goal of the game in the 9th minute from the spot-kick, he completed his brace in the 35 minutes following a good pass from Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye.

The visitors pulled one back through a substitute Daan Heymans, his goal came in the 66th minute, 10 minutes after he came on.

With the game heading for a nervy ending, Paul Onuachu put the game beyond the visitors with his third goal in the 71st minute.

The Super Eagles star scored his fourth goal in the 95th minute with an assist from Andras Nemeth.

The four goals pushed Paul Onuachu’s tally to 12 goals in 13 league games this season.

Genk remained the top team with 43 points in 16 games, closely followed by Antwerp with 33 points from 15 games.
