Paul Pogba set to return to Juventus training after ban Is reduced
Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba is set to return to full training with Juventus after his four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months.
Pogba, who was suspended in 2023 after testing positive for elevated testosterone levels, had initially faced a lengthy ban from football.
The French midfielder denied any wrongdoing and appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). According to reports from the Daily Mail, CAS has now shortened his suspension, allowing him to begin training with Juventus in January 2025. He will be eligible to play in official matches by March.
Pogba’s fine has also been canceled, and he remains under contract with Juventus until 2026, having signed a four-year deal with the club in 2022 after leaving Manchester United. Pogba hopes to contribute to Juventus’ season upon his return or potentially move to another club.
The news of his reduced ban gives Pogba a chance to restart his football career after the setback.
