Peseiro coy on the $700,000 he is allegedly owed by NFF

Super Eagles Portuguese handler, Jose Peseiro is coy on the 10-month salary he is allegedly owed by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Portuguese is said to be owed a 10-month salary by the NFF as he has not been paid a penny since his appointment in May 2022.

Jose Peseiro’s salary was reported to be $700,00 a month, meaning he is been owed a 10-month salary which is $700,000 in total.

But the Portuguese refused to confirm or deny the report he was being owed a 10-month salary.

“The situation about my salary is between me and the NFF. I can’t share nothing on it,” said Peseiro during the Guinea-Bissau pre-match conference.

“I can share the information with my wife because she is my wife and there is no problem about that.

“It’s not all about the money. All we need now is to focus on Guinea match on Friday because we are one step away from qualifying.” He concluded.

Jose Pesiero and the Super Eagles will play their AFCON 2023 qualifying games 3, and 4 against Guinea-Bissau in a doubleheader.

The first leg will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, at 5 pm on Friday, while the return leg will be played on Monday in Bissau.
