Plateau United confirm signings of Adewale Adeyinka and Chinedu Sunday
Plateau United have officially signed Adewale Adeyinka and Chinedu Sunday, boosting their squad for the upcoming season. SportsRation reports.
Adewale Adeyinka has completed his move to Plateau United from Nigeria Premier Football League side Kwara United.
Adeyinka who won the NPFL title in 2021 with Akwa United has signed a two-year contract with the Peace Boys, bringing his experience and skill to the team.
Adeyinka had an impressive campaign last season and previously held the record for the most clean sheets in a single NPFL season. Although Amas Obasogie surpassed this record last season, Adeyinka remains a highly regarded shot-stopper.
Joining Adeyinka in the defensive lineup is Chinedu Sunday Chukwu from Lobi Stars. The towering center-back has also signed a two-year deal with Plateau United. Sunday scored four goals and provided five assists last season, showcasing his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.
Coach Mbwas Mangut’s side is looking to strengthen their defense with these key signings. Adeyinka and Sunday bring a wealth of experience and talent to the team, aiming to fortify the Peace Boys’ backline for a strong season ahead.
