Plateau United face stern Pillars test: NPFL Matchday 4 preview

Matchday 4 of the 2020/21 NPFL season is set to take place on Wednesday January 13th. Following a crushing defeat to Lobi Stars in their Matchday 3 encounter, Warri Wolves will look to set things right when they host Katsina United. Katsina United defeated Adamawa United 2-0 in the last round of matches.

Following a narrow loss to MFM in the Southwest derby, Sunshine Stars host Lobi Stars in their Akure home. Lobi Stars handed a thrashing to Warri Wolves in their last game and would be looking to continue on that note.

Coming off the back of their first victory of the season, Akwa United travel to Ilorin where they will face Kwara United. Kwara United were humbled 3-0 by log leaders, Rivers United in their last game.

Abdu Maikaba’s Plateau United will be severely tested when they visit Kano Pillars at home. Plateau United picked up their first win of the season in Matchday 3 as Kano Pillars drew against Nasarawa United in Lafia.

After winning away from home against Jigawa Golden Stars, Rangers hope to pile more misery on FC Ifeanyi Ubah, who visit the Flying Antelopes on the back of a home defeat to Dakkada FC.

Dakkada FC do battle with MFM in Uyo. Both sides won their Matchday 3 fixtures and have started the season quite brightly.

Nasarawa United travel to take on Adamawa United away at the Pantami Stadium. The home side lost to Katsina United as Nasarawa shared the spoils with Kano Pillars in the last round of matches.

Abia Warriors and Jigawa Golden Stars will look to get back to winning ways when they face off in Aba. Warriors have not picked up a point this season and will be looking to kickstart their season here.

Table-topping Rivers United travel down to Bauchi where they will take on Wikki Tourist. Stanley Eguma’s boys have won all 3 of their league games without conceding a single goal. It promises to be a stern test for Wikki Tourist.

Heartland host Enyimba in what could be a make or break game for coach Fidelis Ilechukwu. The Heartland gaffer has overseen three consecutive defeats this season, and his team would need to show a lot of spirit to tackle a high-flying Enyimba side.
