Pogba could play against Chelsea on Sunday
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could be fit for Sunday’s clash on the road at Chelsea in the Premier League, according to reports.
The Red Devils have come under criticism in recent weeks for their style of plau under Jose Mourinho and that change has coincided with Pogba being out of the team due to injury.
The Frenchman picked up his hamstring injury during their Champions League match against Basle in mid-September and has been missing ever since.
The Sun newspaper claims that the 24-year-old has been looking ‘good and sharp’ in training and that he could be in the squad that travels to Stamford Bridge.
And in Jose Mourinho’s pre-match press conference on Thursday – that was moved forward so that he could attend a court hearing in Madrid on Friday – the Portuguese coach wouldn’t give any injury news away.
“I have to wait a little bit,” he said.
“Normally my press conference is a little later in the week, we still have Friday and Saturday. I’m not very optimistic, but I don’t want to lie.
“I don’t want you to say that I lie when I told you no chance of recovery, so I prefer just to say two more days to confirm my expectation.”
“We are there. I think next two days will be important for that decision.”
