The European Qualifiers 2022 World Cup Play-offs bracket has been conducted and one of Portugal or Italy or both; Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Robert Lewandowski or both will not the playing at the 2022 World Cup.
Portugal and Italy who literally gave up their tickets with their poor displays in their last two group games will now have to go through each other to book a place in the finals.
Italy were a penalty away from making it to the world cup while Portugal lost out to Serbia in front of their home fans on the final day.
Just as we envisaged in our previous article, Cristiano Ronaldo would have to do reproduce one of his best performances to help Portugal advance to the world cup finals.
Since 12 countries have already made it to the finals, three more are expected to join them from the play-offs.
In path A, the winners of the clash between Wales v Austria will play the winners of the game between Scotland v Ukraine.
In path B, the winners of the game between Russia v Poland will play the winners of the clash beteen Sweden v Czech Republic .
In group C which is the group of death, Portugal will play Turkey and the winners play the winners of Italy vs North Macedonia match.
