Positive Injury Update for Steph Curry as Warriors Monitor Recovery
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is on the mend after suffering a pelvic contusion during last week’s win over the Toronto Raptors. Curry left that game after playing just 25 minutes and did not return, raising concerns about his condition.
However, there is now encouraging news for Warriors fans. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Curry has travelled with the team to Miami and could make his return as early as Tuesday when the Warriors face the Miami Heat. His availability will depend on how he responds to treatment over the next two days.
“Stephen Curry is travelling to join the Warriors in Miami, and his status for Tuesday’s game against the Heat depends on treatment response for his pelvic bruise over next two days,” Charania reported.
The injury kept Curry out of Saturday’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks, but the latest updates suggest it’s not as serious as initially feared. The Warriors are being cautious with their star point guard, ensuring he is fully fit before putting him back on the court.
Curry has already missed 11 games this season. While the Warriors have managed a 7-4 record in his absence, his presence remains vital, especially with the playoffs approaching. Since the All-Star break, Curry has averaged 26.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, shooting an impressive 49% from the field, 41.1% from three-point range, and 93.8% from the free-throw line. His leadership has helped guide the team to a 12-2 record during that span.
For now, the Warriors are hopeful that Curry’s recovery continues to progress, but they are prioritising his health to ensure he’s ready for the crucial games ahead.
