Presidency will support Super Eagles to win AFCON – Sports Minister assures
The Honorable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has affirmed the full support of the Presidency for the Super Eagles’ quest to triumph at the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire.
The commitment as released by the Ministers media unit, was made during the Minister’s visit to Kwara State, where he emphasized the significant backing from the Presidency, expressing hope for a successful campaign.
Senator Enoh conveyed the collective ambition of the Super Eagles to secure victory at the AFCON, highlighting the support and belief in the team’s capabilities.
He underscored the Ministry’s collaboration with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to ensure meticulous planning and execution for a triumphant tournament.

The Super Eagles are placed in Group A, alongside host nation Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, and Equatorial Guinea for the AFCON tournament scheduled to kick off in January 2024.
