Quadri Aruna becomes first African player rated in Table Tennis world’s top 10
Quadri Aruna has made history after becoming the first and only African player to be named in World Table Tennis top 10.
The Nigerian who was rated 12th in the previous rankings have moved up two placed to 10th in the latest rankings.
Quadri who has many first African records on his profile has added just another one on his growing personal achievements.
Also, Egypt’s Omar Assar returned to the top 19 in the world ranking after the African champion gained eight steps up in the rating to occupy 19th place in the Men’s singles ranking.
However, Nigerian Bode Abiodun gained an incredible 34 steps up to be rated 97th in the world.
As expected, the Chinese trio of Fan Zhendong (CHN), Ma Long (CHN) and Liang Jingkun (CHN) make up the top 3.
