Rafael Nadal Says Fake AI Videos Are Using His Image Without Permission

Former tennis star Rafael Nadal said on Tuesday that fake videos made with artificial intelligence (AI) are using his face and voice without his permission.

“With help from my team, we found some fake videos online. These videos were made using AI and show someone who looks and sounds like me,” Nadal said in a message on social media.

“In the videos, this fake version of me gives advice or talks about investments. I want to make it clear – I did not say any of these things. It is false advertising,” he added.

Nadal, 39, from Spain, won 22 Grand Slam titles during his career. He retired from professional tennis in November 2024 after playing in the Davis Cup for Spain.
