Randy Waldrum speaks ahead of Nigeria v Cameroon WAFCON Quarterfinal tie
Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has reacted to Super Falcons’ upcoming quarterfinal clash against Cameroon.
The American and Super Falcons overcame a rough 2-1 opening game defeat to South Africa to secure a 2-0 and 4-0 win against Botswana and Burundi in their remaining Group games.
Super Falcons finished second in the group to set up a quarterfinal clash against the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon.
And Randy Waldrum said he understands the rivalry between the two nations and he is confident his girls will get the job done.
“We understand the history between Nigeria and Cameroon,” said Waldrum during his postmatch interview.
“It will be a difficult game and we are looking forward to the game.
“Changing of venue won’t be any factor, the pitch will be fantastic and the players are also looking forward to the game.”
On Thursday at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca by 6 pm, Nigeria and Cameroon will play for a place in the last four and World Cup place.
