Rangers FC announce adoption of new team ahead of continental challenge
This move comes in response to the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) 2021 mandate requiring clubs participating in men’s continental competitions to also support women’s teams to boost the development of the women’s game.
In a statement, Rangers International expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to foster talent among young female footballers in Enugu.
“We are glad to announce an exciting new technical partnership between Rangers International FC Enugu and Green Foot Ladies Enugu,” the statement began.
“Through this collaboration, Rangers International FC will provide comprehensive support to Green Foot Ladies to foster the growth and development of women’s football in our community.
