Rangers slap N8.4 billion price tag on Cyriel Dessers

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Cyriel Dessers could make a return to Serie A, with a potential transfer valued at over N8.4 billion. The Nigerian international, currently with Scottish side Glasgow Rangers, is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A club Cagliari.

After a successful spell at Cremonese, where Dessers scored seven goals and provided two assists to help the club avoid relegation, he moved to Rangers in the summer of 2023. At Rangers, the 29-year-old striker impressed with 22 goals and nine assists in 54 appearances.

Cagliari has expressed interest in bringing Dessers back to Italy. However, Rangers have set a price tag of around 5 million euros, which might be a challenge for Cagliari due to their financial situation.

The Italian club is considering a loan deal with an obligation to buy if Dessers helps them stay in Serie A next season, as reported by Football Italia.

While the potential move to Cagliari is generating buzz, Dessers’ future remains uncertain as negotiations continue.
