Club Brugge yet to concede a single goal

Raphael Onyedika has helped Club Brugge to reach the Champions League knockout stage in style after battling to a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles midfielder was impressive at Wanda Metropolitan Stadium as Club Brugge fought for a massive point which secured their place in the last sixteen.

It was not just a place in the last 16 for the first time, but also achieving the feat with two games to spare joining the likes of Napoli, and Bayern Munich as the teams to have qualified.

In fact, the Belgian champions have secured a place in the round of 16 without conceding a goal magnifying the work done by Raphael Onyedika, Simon Mignolet, and the entire team.

After the match, former Liverpool goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet was the man of the match on Wednesday against Atletico after making 9 saves.

Simon Mignolet has made 14 saves (first and second legs) without conceding against Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League this season, the most saves on record against an opponent without being beaten in a single season in the competition

“This is a dream! We fought until the end and we finally did it. But our story doesn’t end here: let’s see how far we can go,” said Mignolet after the game.
