Raptors’ DeMarre Carroll out indefinitely with knee injury
The Raptors will be without their big free-agent signee for a while.
Forward DeMarre Carroll is out indefinitely due to a right knee contusion, the team said Monday. The Raptors also scratched backup center Lucas Nogueira for Monday’s game against the Lakers with a sprained left ankle.
The Raptors beat the visiting Lakers 102-93 with Kyle Lowry scoring a game-high 27 points while Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 21 points.
Carroll, 29, is averaging 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds his first season in Toronto after signing as a free agent in July. The team lured him away from Atlanta with a four-year, $60 million deal.
