Ajibade who has scored in every game of the competition was at the right place to guide home Onomunu’s cross to beat the Lioness of Cameroon whose poor record vs the Super Falcons continued in Morocco .

Nigeria has thus qualified for the FIFA Womens World Cup for Nine Consecutive times the most by any African Country . With qualification for the World cup secured, Randy Waldrum and his girls will now concentrate on a defense of the WAFCON title won by Nigeria in 2018.

In the other Quater Final games decided on Wednesday 13th July 2022 , Zambia and Morroco defeated Senegal and Botswana respectively to reach the last four and qualify for the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup.
