Rasheedat Ajibade scores as Atletico Madrid triumphs over Levante
Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade scored one of the goals for Atletico Madrid in their 3-1 victory against Levante Las Planas in the Spanish Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino.
Ajibade has been on fire for Atletico Madrid, and she continued her impressive form with a crucial goal in their match against Levante Las Planas. The game, held at the Alcalá de Henares Sports Center, saw an early goal from Ludmila, who set up Marta Cardona to make it 1-0.
Levante Las Planas managed to equalize with a shot from Allegra Poljak in the 39th minute. However, Atletico Madrid came back strong after halftime. Xenia Perez Alminana scored a beautiful volley in the 48th minute to put them ahead again.
Ajibade joined the scoring party in the 61st minute, netting a left-footed shot after controlling a headed pass from Cardona, making the score 3-1. She was substituted in the 76th minute for Laura Martinez Gonzalez.
With this win, Atletico Madrid remains third in the standings, chasing a Champions League spot. Ajibade has been a key player with 15 goal contributions this season.
