Raymond Muratalla Calls Out Top Contenders After Victory Over Tevin Farmer

Raymond Muratalla continues his rise in the boxing world, extending his unbeaten record to 21-0 with a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Tevin Farmer.

The lightweight bout, which took place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, saw Muratalla triumph with scores of 97-92, 96-93, and 95-94.

The fight had originally been part of the undercard but was elevated to the main event after WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly withdrew due to dehydration.

Despite the unexpected shift, Muratalla delivered a strong performance against the seasoned Farmer.

Farmer, known for his speed and counterpunching ability, started the fight well but faded as Muratalla’s power began to take its toll.

A critical moment came in the eighth round when Farmer was deducted a point for holding, which shifted the momentum further in Muratalla’s favor. In the final round, Muratalla’s relentless body shots and a powerful right hand secured his victory.

Reflecting on his win, Muratalla said, “He was moving around. He was holding. So I had to keep putting on the pressure.

And we came out with the victory. I was just consistent with the pressure. I just kept putting it on. My team told me to keep putting it on. I was breaking him down round by round”.

Now, Muratalla has his sights set on bigger challenges. Immediately after the fight, he called out WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk and WBC champion Shakur Stevenson.

“I want the champions next. Berinchyk called my name. I’m calling out his name right now. If I can’t get Berinchyk, then I want Shakur,” Muratalla declared.

Farmer, reflecting on the fight and the point deduction, expressed his frustration: “That point deduction was crazy. I feel like we were both holding. The times I tried to get out, he had my arm, so it looked like I was holding. But it’s the ref. He makes the calls. You have to take it on the chin”.
