Real Madrid Join Race to Sign Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen
Real Madrid, the most successful club in UEFA Champions League history, have entered the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The 26-year-old forward has been in top form this season, scoring 29 goals and providing five assists in 34 matches for Galatasaray in all competitions under manager Okan Buruk.
Osimhen’s impressive performances have already attracted interest from top clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain. Now, Spanish giants Real Madrid have joined the list of suitors.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid want to take advantage of Osimhen’s reportedly strained relationship with Napoli’s management. Although the striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is open to selling him — but only for a fee of at least €75 million, which Real Madrid can afford.
The La Liga leaders are searching for a top striker who can play through the middle. The current front line of Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Junior often leans heavily on the left wing. Osimhen’s speed, sharp movement, and goal-scoring ability make him a perfect fit for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Real Madrid will face strong competition from Premier League clubs, but their reputation and financial strength could give them the edge in signing the 2023 CAF Player of the Year.
