Reece James returns to Chelsea training

Reece James has provided a potential boost ahead of Chelsea FC’s Carabao Cup final clash against Liverpool. SportsRation reports.

James has been sidelined since December due to a hamstring injury, limiting him to just nine appearances this season.

However, as Chelsea FC prepares for the final against Liverpool on February 25, 2024, James seems to be making progress towards a return to action.

The English defender hinted at his imminent comeback with an Instagram post on Thursday, February 15.

Chelsea has faced numerous injury setbacks this season, with key players like Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, and Ben Chilwell spending time on the sidelines.

James’ absence, particularly due to his recurring hamstring issues, has been a significant concern for the team.

The 24-year-old also struggled with similar injuries last season, further emphasizing the need for his careful rehabilitation.

As James prepares to rejoin the squad, both manager Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea supporters will be cautiously optimistic, hoping that his return signals the end of his injury woes.

However, there are concerns about potential setbacks, which could raise doubts about his long-term future in the sport.

Nevertheless, Chelsea can take comfort in having a capable backup in Malo Gasto, who has proven to be a reliable option amidst the team’s injury challenges.

With the Carabao Cup final looming, Chelsea will be eager to have James back in action as they aim for victory against Liverpool.
