Remo Stars January Player of the Month: Edidiong Ezekiel, Bankole, Okpe, Olalere nominated
Olympic Eagles forward Edidiong Ezekiel, Goalkepeer Kayode Bankole, Andy Okpe and Segun Olalere have been nominated for the Remo Stars Player of the month award.
Four outstanding performers for the Sky Blues this season. Remo Stars were cruising in perfection in the 2022/2023 season until the weekends 3-0 loss at Bendel Insurance.
Former Dakkada FC forward Edidiong Ezekiel was instrumental to the opening day win, the forward scoring one and assisting the other for a 2-0 win.
The forward has played all four games, featuring from the start in two games before two substitute appearances vs Shooting Stars and Bendel Insurance FC at the weekend.
For goalkepeer Kayode Bankole, with three clean sheets from four games in January, it has been another great start to the season. One that will increase calls for his invitation to the Super Eagles team.
Striker Andy Okpe scored the winner away at Gombe United FC while Segun Olalere is credited to have formed a solid partnership with skipper Nduka.
All four nominees were instrumental to the club securing Nine (9) of twelve (12) available points in January.
According to Remo Stars Sports Club, the choice is with the fans who will vote until noon of February 1, 2023.
