Report: Barcelona eye Kasper Schmeichel as Marc-Andre ter Stegen replacement

Kasper Schmeichel has reportedly been added to Barcelona‘s shortlist of summer transfer targets.

There have been suggestions that the Spanish champions will be in the market for a new goalkeeper at the end of the season, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen tipped to depart Camp Nou.

According to The People, Schmeichel’s performances between the posts for title-chasing Leicester City have captured the attention of Barca’s sporting director Roberto Fernandez.

The report adds that the Dane, who is the son of Manchester United great Peter, would be offered a three-year deal by the Catalans.

Schmeichel has kept a Premier League-high 14 clean sheets this term.
