Report: Finidi George replaces Salisu Yusuf as Super Eagles Head Coach
Salisu now 2nd assistant/CHAN Eagles and U-23 coach
Finidi George is said to have replaced Salisu Yusuf as the Super Eagles head coach according to reports.
The former Super Eagles player who was a late inclusion into the new Super Eagles technical crew is said to be named new number two and head coach.
Finidi George has leapfrogged Salisu Yusuf who has now been demoted to the number three position.
Recall in April the Nigeria Football Federation announced the new technical crew for Super Eagles as follows:

1st Assistant/Head Coach/Super Eagles B/U23 Team – Salisu Yusuf
2nd Assistant Coach – Finidi George
3rd Assistant Coach – Usman Abdallah
Match Analyst – Eboboritse Uwejamomere
Goalkeepers’ Trainer – Ike Shorounmu
But with the latest development according to OwnGoal Nigeria who cited Wale Ajayi one of Nigeria’s foremost journalists, Finidi George is now Super Eagles’ head coach and first assistant.
This also means Finidi George will be in charge of Nigeria’s friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador even though it was Salisu Yusuf who invited the players.
The Enyimba manager is also expected to deputize whoever is appointed as Super Eagles’ foreign technical adviser.
While Salisu Yusuf remains the CHAN Eagles (Super Eagles B), and Nigeria U-23 (The Olympic Team) coach.
