Report: Guus Hiddink to take over at Chelsea after Jose Mourinho exit
Chelsea have reportedly decided to place Guus Hiddink in interim charge of the club after the exit of Jose Mourinho. Mourinho’s second spell in charge of the Blues came to an end earlier this afternoon after nine defeats in 16 Premier League games this season.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea will turn to Hiddink for a second time – the Dutchman also took over on an interim basis in 2009 after the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari.
In his first spell with the Blues, Hiddink only lost once in 23 matches and oversaw the West London side’s 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Everton.
Hiddink has been out of work since leaving his role in charge of the Dutch national team in the summer.
