Report: Manchester United want to sign Victor Osimhen in ₦109 billion deal

Manchester United are close to signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli for a reported fee of €60 million (about ₦109 billion), according to Turkish journalist Aygun Ozipek.

The Super Eagles forward has been linked with several Premier League clubs in recent months, but it now looks like the Red Devils are leading the race. Reports say Osimhen has already agreed personal terms with the English club and is ready to move to Old Trafford.

If the deal is completed, the 25-year-old is expected to earn around €15 million per year (about ₦27 billion), which would make him one of the highest-paid African footballers in the world.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has said that Alejandro Garnacho should consider leaving the club if it helps bring Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford.

This salary works out to:

  • About €1.25 million per month

  • €288,000 per week

  • Nearly €41,000 per day

  • Over €1,700 per hour

Such a huge wage highlights how much Manchester United value the Nigerian striker. It also shows how much they are investing to strengthen their attack for next season.

Osimhen has had an impressive year and is currently the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig with 21 goals. His performances have made him a key target for United as they look to boost their squad.

Although the transfer has not yet been officially announced by either Manchester United or Napoli, fans across Europe are already talking about what could be one of the biggest moves of the summer.

Beyond the pitch, Osimhen’s arrival could also bring more attention and commercial opportunities to Manchester United in Africa. As Nigeria’s second-highest goal scorer, he is hugely popular across the continent and could help the club grow its fanbase even further.
