‘ Respect’ – Victor Boniface hails Obafemi Martins after recent meeting

Super Eagles star Victor Boniface has hailed legendary Nigerian footballer Obafemi Martins after a recent meeting in Nigeria.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is currently on vacation in Nigeria, following a fruitful season where he helped Bayer Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga title win, the DFB Pokal and UEFA Europa League final.

Boniface returned to Nigeria for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, where the team failed to secure maximum points. During his vacation, the striker has been reconnecting with friends, family, celebrities, and former football stars.

In a notable encounter, Boniface met with Obafemi Martins and expressed his admiration. He shared a picture of their meeting on Twitter with the caption, “Respect.”

Martins, during his illustrious playing career, made 42 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring 18 goals and providing one assist.

The photograph also included fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, as both strikers met with the former Nigerian international.

Boniface’s vacation has been filled with various activities, including a boat cruise with Nigerian celebrities Charles Okocha and Cubana Chief Priest. He shared moments from this outing on social media, enjoying the time off with Osimhen and Onyedika.
