‘ Retain Randy Waldrum as Super Falcons Coach ‘ – Garba Lawal urges NFF

Former Nigerian International Garba Lawal has urged the Nigeria Football Federation – NFF to retain Randy Waldrum as Super Falcons Coach.

Lawal made this call in a chat with Complete Sports, mentioning the reason for his opinion – one that has become popular with the teams outing at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“Waldrum should be saddled with the responsibility of managing the team for the 2024 Olypic games qualifiers, ” Garba Lawal said.

“He did a good job with the Super Falcons at the 2023 World Cup even though we lost to England on penalties. However, the team played good football.

” For me, for continuity sake, I will urge the NFF to retain Waldrum as Falcons coach, ” the former Super Eagles utility player urged.

At the moment, the Nigeria Football Federation – NFF is reviewing the contracts of Super Falcons Coach Randy Waldrum and that of the Super Eagles Jose Peseiro.

For Waldrum, the teams performance at the Women’s World Cup in Australia has led to calls by Nigerians for his continued stay in charge of the team.

This calls by Lawal and other Waldrum backers is furthered helped by the American born gaffers open confession that he wants to stay with the Nigeria Women’s National team immediately after the 2023 Women’s World Cup exit.
