Rhasidat Adeleke preparing for tough LA Grand Prix race
Rhasidat Adeleke is gearing up for her toughest 200m challenge yet as she prepares to go head-to-head against formidable sprinters Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Gabby Thomas at the upcoming LA Grand Prix.
Fresh off her stellar performance at the World Relays in the Bahamas, where she played a key role in securing qualification for the Irish mixed 4x400m and women’s 4x400m teams for the Paris Olympic Games, Adeleke is poised to deliver another outstanding performance against her top competitors.
Among the trio, Thomas boasts the fastest Season’s Best time of 22.08s and will be aiming to maintain her winning streak at the event.
McLaughlin-Levrone, a current World Record holder, follows closely with an SB of 22.38s, presenting a formidable challenge to Adeleke and Thomas.
Meanwhile, former NCAA standout athlete Abby Steiner enters the competition as the underdog, seeking a triumphant victory to reaffirm her status as one of the world’s elite sprinters.
