The first leg in Nigeria

Nigeria’s representatives at the 2022-23 CAF Club Competitions, Rivers United and Plateau United have been drawn against Northern African clubs from Libya.

Recall, Rivers United and Plateau United were both sent crashing from the CAF Champions League by Northern African opponents.

Rivers United were destroyed 7-2 on aggregate by Wydad AC of Morocco, while Plateau United were controversially beaten 2-2 by Espérance of Tunis.
