Ronaldo unhappy with Real Madrid fans’ reaction

Cristiano Ronaldo is already enjoying the Christmas break, but he is far from happy.

Thrashing Rayo Vallecano at home was not enough to put a smile back on Real Madrid’s players’ faces. In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo was anything but happy after the game. The Portuguese, despite scoring twice, was angered by fans’ reaction. Los Blancos’s all-time top goalscorer is not one to bite his tongue and hit back at the Bernabéu faithful.

The Portuguese understands fans’ anger but does not agree with how most of them are making their feelings known. Ronaldo has already said, on several occasions, that fans have to get behind the team, but that message appears to have fallen on deaf ears and their reaction during the game against cross-city rivals Rayo was especially painful.

Although short-lived, fans’ reaction to Rayo’s second goal was one of the harshest Cristiano has experienced as a Real Madrid player. That is why he left the stadium with a bee in his bonnet and refused to celebrate either of his goals.

The club does not agree with the Bernabéu faithful booing the team but likes how Ronaldo deals with them in that kind of situation. He may have left for his holidays in a bad mood, but his fitness is improving week upon week. The Portuguese has fully recovered from the ongoing knee problems that saw his form dip early on in the season and his goalscoring stats are slowing creeping back up.
