Ruud Van Nisterlrooy sends message to Manchester United after Amorim refused to work with him
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has shared an emotional message with fans of Manchester United following his departure from the club following the arrival of Ruben Amorim.
After stepping in as caretaker manager following Erik Ten Hag’s sacking, Nistelrooy’s time was cut short with the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim, who opted to bring in his own backroom staff.
In a heartfelt post on X, Nistelrooy expressed profound gratitude, stating, “To everyone at Manchester United Football Club, in particular the backroom staff, the players, and the fans, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible efforts and support.”
He reflected on his time with the club, saying it was “a privilege and honour” to represent Manchester United in various capacities and emphasized that he would always “cherish the memories” made during his tenure.
Nistelrooy conveyed his enduring affection for the club, asserting, “@ManUtd will always have a special place in my heart, and I hope there are many more glory days at Old Trafford very soon—not only because I want the club to do well, but because you all deserve it!” As he bids farewell, the former PSV coach is contemplating his next move, with several clubs reportedly interested in bringing him on board.
